Batman The Dark Knight is one of the best films made lately. It is visually stunning and the effects and extremely good. The stunts are well co ordinated seeing as most of them were done by either the actors or stunt doubles rather than by computer. The acting i amazing, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger at their best along with the rest of the well put together cast. Both actors have matured vastly since their careers started in film. Directed very well by Christopher Nolan. Highly recommended flick.

Ken - the drummer was Gary Snyder...we used to practice right on campus there. There was an old bldg down past the cafeteria where we first got together.

Greets!

I went to college with Paul and Patty (now Patricia) Van Ness. I think their original drummer also went to the same school...a blonde guy whose name I forget. I was truly excited whenn I first heard Song of a Kite on WBCN's Big Matress and Charles Laquidara pushed the band and the album as much as he could.
My wish would be to see the band reunite for a college Homecoming weekend (Clumbus Day Weekend Sat) some year!
During my 12 years on WHUS in Storrs, I played Private Lightening a good bit. Got good response from listeners along with Pousette Dart and Liv Taylor...all Boston based music.

I'd have to vote for The Forever War, which had a huge impact on me. I interviewed Joe Haldeman recently and asked him about The Forever War and winning the Grand Master award. He told me that he doesn’t feel old enough. (If you're interested, you can read my Joe Haldeman interview for free at SciFiBookshelf.com )

I got my copy of the CD from Newbury Comics, I think. But also note that Steve Keith continues to post interesting PL stuff (including wav and mp3 files) on his http://www.baselines.com/ site (and I continue to be grateful!).

mm (who thinks the Blue Jay Sessions set is tremendous)

I saw Private Lightning live in Lowell, MA probably in 1979 or 80. What a show! I still remember it today. "Thriller" is my favorite track from them. CD is out got it on Amazon.

I just watched Zero Hour for the first time. I saw Airplane for the first time when I was training for the Peace Corps. I've seen Airplane at least twelve times.

I found the movie to be hilarious. I could not help filling in all of the gag lines. I "highly" recommend watching this movie if you are a fan of Airplane. Zero Hour is an entirely different movie all together.
